Waitlist privacy
How we handle your email.
We use it to tell you about Counterseal, and for nothing else. This page covers the waitlist only; the Counterseal app itself needs no email and has its own privacy policy.
What we keep
Your email, the page you joined from, your role, the agents you said you run (and anything you typed in that box), your answer to the price question, the website or campaign that sent you (a short tag such as "hn", never the full address of the page you came from), your invite code and the code of whoever invited you, the date, and the exact wording you agreed to, with the box you ticked beside it.
What we do not keep
Your IP address. To stop spam, and to count a visit to each page once a day, we make a one-way scrambled key from your network, which cannot be turned back into the address. Each key is good for one day (UTC) only and is deleted at the first visit after that day ends. It is never linked to your email. No cookies, no tracking tools, no advertising pixels.
What we send you
News about Counterseal: new features and paid plans, at most one short email a month. Every email names us, says how to reach us, and has an unsubscribe link that works without signing in.
Where it lives
On Cloudflare's servers, which host these pages. Cloudflare may store and process it outside Canada, including in the United States, where local law may allow authorities to access it. We never sell or share your email.
These pages keep no request logs of their own. Cloudflare itself may still process and briefly keep request metadata, such as IP addresses and browser user agents, to run and protect its network, under its own privacy policy.
Delete it
